Located at the northeastern edge of Hollywood, Barnsdall Art Park offers an escape for Angelenos. To understand how people use the open space and interact with the physical design of the park, we conducted several observational surveys and produced a site activity analysis.

An extensive needfinding analysis found that there is a mismatch of jobs with neighborhood and transit-serving retail in the area around the future Expo/Bundy Metro Station in West Los Angeles. A proposed small business incubation district is proposed to build upon the everyday urbanism practiced by current residents.
